Get on Board is a kitesurf school in Cancún run by Anna and Rodrigo. It teaches at two spots: Punta Sam, ten minutes from Cancún city centre, where it has a beach house with a private beach, and the Isla Blanca lagoon, twenty-five minutes to the north, with flat, shallow water next to a nature reserve.
Lessons follow the IKO certification system: students earn a certification for each skill they learn. There are beginner, intermediate and advanced lessons, private or for two or three students, as well as foil lessons. Most beginners stand up on the board within 3 to 6 hours. Lessons are taught in English, Spanish and Polish, on Duotone equipment. The school also rents gear and offers accommodation.
The main season runs from November to May, with north, south and east winds of 12 to 25 knots; the El Norte fronts in December and January bring the strongest wind.
