Surf'n Sayulita is a surf school in the centre of Sayulita, on Mexico's Riviera Nayarit. It has been introducing beginners of all ages to surfing since 2005.
Lessons, private or in small groups, start with 20 to 30 minutes of instruction on the sand covering the basics and the pop-up. Students then spend about an hour and a half in the water with an ISA-certified instructor. The board, leash and a UV-protection rash guard are provided.
The school also runs day trips to quieter surf spots: departure from Sayulita at 9:30 am, a drive of about 30 minutes, a short hike through the jungle, around two and a half hours in the water and a lunch of fish or shrimp tacos before heading back around 1:30 pm. Transport, a cooler with water, the board and the rash guard are included.
