Shokogi Surf Playa Venao

Shokogi is a surf school in Playa Venao, on the Azuero Peninsula. Its story began in 2009, when the founders came to Panama looking for the best kitesurfing and surfing spots and settled in Pedasí; a second location opened in 2010 in Punta Chame.

In Playa Venao, the school runs surf lessons and camps for all levels, from first-timers to advanced surfers, plus private foil surfing sessions and a kids' camp. Custom stays combining accommodation of your choice, lessons and board rental can also be put together.

The website lists more than 100 boards of every size for rent, including the soft-top Ocean Monkey boards, the school's own brand, and an online shop with apparel and accessories (rash guards, bottles, sunscreen). Waves are rideable all year round.
