Surf Camp Lombok

Surf Camp Lombok is a surf camp in Gerupuk, in southern Lombok, a few kilometres from Kuta. It says it has been running since 2006 and, according to its about page, grew out of a group of friends who sailed a traditional schooner through the archipelago for 100 days in 2005.

The camp runs two-week surf stays, starting with a level evaluation on arrival, then Level 1-2 lessons for beginners or Level 3-4 lessons for intermediate and advanced surfers, taught by Western and local coaches. Accommodation is on site, with a camp kitchen and a bar-restaurant, and a skate bowl serves as a community meeting spot.

Besides surfing, the camp offers yoga, freediving and sailing aboard its own boat. It is also linked to a custom board label, Banyu Surfboards, shaped with the coaches.
