Nayaka Surf School and Camp

Nayaka Surf School and Camp is a surf school and camp based in Batu Layar, on the Senggigi road in north-west Lombok. Founded by Wayan, the team brings together several local instructors, said to be graduates of the Lombok tourism school, and a photographer. Its motto: "Everybody can surf".

Lessons are private (one instructor per student), semi-private (one instructor for two students) or in groups (one instructor for three students). Children aged 4 to 12 have their own private two-hour lessons, and family lessons are available. Equipment is provided: boards in several sizes, wetsuit or rash vest, sun-protection leggings and reef booties. Drone and camera video coaching is also offered.

The surf camp runs stays of 3 to 7 days, plus a 6-day family stay. The school also organises surf trips to Gerupuk and West Sumbawa, as well as land excursions around Lombok, to Komodo and in Bali. It says it provides insurance, first-aid kits and lifeguards.
