Kubu Surf School

Kubu Surf School is a surf school and surf camp on Gili Trawangan, the car-free island off Lombok. It presents itself as the first surf camp on Gili Trawangan and in Lombok, open since 2017, in a quiet corner of the island away from the party strip.

Lessons suit beginners and intermediate surfers. The programme is progressive, from first white-water waves to reading sets and choosing your line, with local instructors. GoPro photo and video sessions are included in selected packages.

Packages of 3 to 7 days bundle lessons, accommodation and tours: bamboo or air-conditioned bungalows, a villa with pool, daily breakfast, board, wetsuit, bicycle and wifi. A yoga and surf option is available, along with excursions (snorkelling around the three Gili islands, glass-bottom boat, a boat trip to Komodo).
