Balmoral Foiling School

Balmoral Foiling School is the foiling arm of Balmoral Paddlesurf, based on Balmoral Beach in Mosman, on the north side of Sydney Harbour. It has taught foilboarding since 2018 and has since added wing foiling and wing surfing, alongside the company's stand up paddle lessons.

The starting point is tow foiling behind a boat, on calm open water. The school considers it the best way to learn to hold flight before moving on to surf foiling, wing foiling or downwind foiling. The first lesson is about holding flight comfortably in a relaxed stance; later lessons introduce turns, pumping and crossing the wake.

Lessons run at Balmoral Beach three to four days a week at 7:15 am, with two people needed per session (the school can often pair up single riders). E-foiling is also part of the offer.
