School Presentation
WIND VILLAGE is a windsurfing school accredited by the Japan Windsurfing Association (JWA), on Murakushi beach, by Lake Hamana in Hamamatsu. Lessons are taught by active athletes all year round, and the school is a partner of a Japanese travel platform.
Murakushi is presented as one of the best windsurfing sites in the country: the water is shallow and you can stand, which reassures beginners. Beginner lessons last a half day (about 2.5 hours) or a full day (about five hours, including a one-hour lunch break), with the option of attempting level 5 of the windsurfing certificate. After the first session, a membership option lets you progress through beginner and intermediate levels to advanced; there are also visitor rates and a junior course for schoolchildren.
The school has appeared on Japanese television programmes; it publishes a lesson calendar and keeps a blog.
