Triton is a windsurfing school in Chiba, based in the Isobe district of Mihama ward, near Makuhari. It teaches windsurfing, wing foiling and stand up paddle, and students describe it as a friendly, family-style school.
Lessons take place at Kemigawa beach or at Inage Kaigan on Tokyo Bay. The website lists a taster session for beginners, an intermediate course, follow-up lessons from the second session on, and one-to-one coaching. All gear is included: board, sail, wetsuit and boots. The school follows its own curriculum and suggests a way to carry on that fits each student.
On the beach: paid hot showers, toilets, a changing room and coin lockers, with a kiosk open only on days off. Parking is JPY 500 a day. Lessons are open from age 11 (contact the school for under 10). Photos of the session are given free.
