En Colombia Kitesurf is a watersports school on La Boquilla beach in Cartagena de Indias, right in front of the Sonesta hotel. It offers kitesurf, wing foil, windsurf, stand-up paddle and surf lessons, equipment rental and sales, and organises kite safaris along the Colombian coast.
The owner and head instructor, Alex Bustamante, has more than ten years of experience in kitesurfing, surfing and windsurfing and has taught at several schools in Colombia, Ecuador and Peru. Lessons are given in Spanish and English, and instructors communicate with students by walkie-talkie on the water.
Lesson equipment (kite, board, harness, vest, helmet, bar) is included; the school advertises Flysurfer and Core kites. It also runs a small hostel with kitchen access, wifi and restaurant service.
