VAN Surf Camp

VAN Surf Camp offers surf lessons to visitors on Siargao Island who want to learn or try surfing on holiday. It is based in General Luna and works with SISA-certified instructors, who are booked online by choosing the date, skill level, side of the island and surf spot.

The one-hour package includes a session with a certified instructor and a surfboard, which can be swapped to suit your level; the instructor picks the most suitable spot. On the first day students learn about equipment, water safety, paddling and the steps to stand up on a longboard. Boat trips, entrance fees, locker rental and fuel for the instructor's motorbike are not included.

The website lists beginner and more advanced spots on the north, east and south sides of the island, including Cloud 9, and has a page on surf etiquette.
