SSS Phuket is a centre on Kata Beach, open since 2008. It is best known for scuba diving and freediving, but it also runs surf and paddle activities, which are the only ones covered here. It is therefore not a surf-only school.
Surf lessons take place at Kata Beach, on gentle sandy-bottom waves, from May to November. Every lesson is private: one instructor per student, from age 5, in English, lasting one to one and a half hours. Board, rashguard and photos are included. A surf camp is also offered.
The Kata shop rents surfboards (fibreglass or epoxy, shortboards, longboards, malibus) and paddleboards, and offers gear storage.
