KitesurfUruguay + Samudra

KitesurfUruguay is a kitesurfing school that reports more than fifteen years of activity. In summer it operates from Samudra, its spot on the José Ignacio lagoon (Maldonado department, Route 10, km 179.8). The rest of the year it runs sessions in Montevideo (Malvín beach) and Punta del Este whenever the wind reaches at least 15 knots.

Lessons are strictly personalised, with one instructor per student: a basic kitesurf course (theory and practice on land and in the water, with 6 to 8 hours advertised to ride and control the kite), an advanced course, a kids' course and a wing foil course. The school also offers stand up paddle, rider supervision, supported downwinds and off-season kite trips.

Samudra is both a spot and a place to hang out: hot shower and changing room, equipment storage, inflation service and spare parts, constant supervision with a rescue jet-ski, free wifi, a restaurant-bar and a small shop with North Kiteboarding equipment and Mystic accessories.
