Kite & Windsurf Laura

Kite & Windsurf Laura is a water-sports centre on Laguna Garzón, in the Maldonado department, about 40 km from Punta del Este and 7 km from José Ignacio, to the left of the circular bridge on Route 10 (km 190.5). It describes itself as Uruguay's only IKO Center and claims more than 32 years of uninterrupted activity.

The school is run by Laura Moñino, 1992 South American windsurfing vice-champion (Raceboard class), an agronomist by training and an international IKO instructor in windsurfing and kitesurfing, who has also organised sporting events and taught on beaches around the world.

Activities include kitesurfing, windsurfing, wing foil, stand up paddle, kayak, dinghy sailing and sailing courses. The centre offers equipment rental and sales, equipment storage, a bar, Bar Barzón, and on-site accommodation.
