Puro Surf Academy

Puro Surf Academy is a surf school based at Playa El Zonte on the La Libertad coast of El Salvador. It was founded by Marcelo Castellanos, an ISA-certified coach who developed the Surf Sequence, a levelled progression similar to martial-arts belts.

Surf lessons are open to all levels from age 10. The academy also runs surf skate sessions, a swim and paddling class in the pool (paddling technique, duck dives), and guided surf trips for intermediate to advanced surfers between Punta Roca and KM 61, with hotel pick-up.

The centre has a video analysis room, a lap pool, a concrete wave, a yoga room and a gym. Board rental (with traction pads, fins and leash) is available daily from 8 am to 5 pm. A hotel and surf camp packages complete the offer.
