South Pacific Surf is a surf school and hire shop on Marine Parade in Mount Maunganui. Lessons take place on the nearby beach, with a foam board from the house brand and a wetsuit included.
The programme covers mixed group lessons of 1.5 hours, private lessons for adults and kids, 1-hour express lessons, multi-day packages, video analysis, after-school programmes, holiday camps, corporate groups, a surf experience on Matakana Island and surf guiding to the best local breaks.
The shop hires foam and fibreglass boards, wetsuits and paddleboards, with delivery available around the Mount and Pāpāmoa. It also repairs surfboards (dings, snaps, fin boxes) in its own workshop, and sells boards and wetsuits.
