Wingfoil Nelson (Nelson Yacht Club)

Wingfoil Nelson is the wing foil school of Nelson Yacht Club, located on Wakefield Quay facing Nelson's bay at the top of the South Island. The water can be used at any tide. The club also runs windsurfing lessons through its sailing school.

Learning happens in two stages: wing handling on a stand up paddle or windsurf board, then "First Flights" for foil handling and first take-offs. Options range from group taster lessons to private coaching, with reduced rates for club members. "Foiling Fridays" run in summer, and youth lessons are organised every term.

The club also sells wing foil equipment from New Zealand and international brands, and hires gear. A chief instructor and a club manager handle enquiries and bookings.
