Kitescool

Kitescool is a mobile watersports school based in Nelson, on the northern coast of the South Island. It teaches kitesurfing, wing foiling and stand up paddling, in private or group lessons, for all levels including complete beginners.

Lessons mostly take place at Tahunanui Beach, with a meeting point at the Table Top car park on Back Beach Road, a short drive from the city centre. Equipment is included. Courses range from a one-hour lesson to a six-day course, with multi-lesson deals.

The school is a qualified IKO centre. The minimum age is 12 and students must be able to swim; lessons depend on wind and weather. High season runs from December to May, but the school operates all year, from 8am to 8pm, seven days a week. It also sells kitesurf, wing foil and paddle equipment.
