Kiteboarding Costa Rica is a kitesurf school set right on the beach at Playa Copal, in Bahía Salinas bay, about 50 minutes from Liberia airport. It describes itself as the only operation located on the kite beach itself.
It offers private lessons with equipment included, and gear rental in all sizes. On site there are also private air-conditioned villas with a kitchen and pool, a minute from the spot, and a restaurant. An airport transfer can be arranged.
The bay is known for strong, steady wind from November to May; the business closes in September and October, during the rainy season.
