Dominical Surf School

Dominical Surf School was founded in Dominical, on Costa Rica's southern Pacific coast, by Debbie Zec, who grew up there. She has surfed since childhood, competed nationally and internationally, and opened the school at 17; the team has been teaching since 2005.

Lessons run daily at Dominical and Dominicalito beaches for all levels, with no more than two students per instructor. Times change every day with the tides, so booking ahead is recommended.

The school also offers week-long surf camps with accommodation and transfers from San José or Quepos airport, a women's camp, tailored packages, video coaching and local outings. Instructors are ISA-certified surf coaches and ILS lifeguards.
