Vela Sports Aruba is a wind sports centre on Sarah Quita Beach next to the Ritz-Carlton, close to Fisherman's Huts. It offers lessons and rentals in kitesurfing, windsurfing, wing foiling and e-foiling.
The kitesurf course has three stages: kite control with a trainer kite on the beach, body dragging in the water, then waterstart on the board. The base package is three two-hour sessions spread over several days. Kite foil lessons are reserved for advanced kiters, and a half-day excursion goes to Boca Grandi.
A second site, the Palm Beach Center between the Marriott Stellaris and the Ritz-Carlton, houses a beach shop, stand up paddle, kayak and float rentals, and yoga classes.
