École de windsurf de la Baie de Beauport
1 chemin de la Baie-de-Beauport, G1J 5K7 Québec (Beauport) · Québec · Canada
School Presentation
The École de windsurf de la Baie de Beauport teaches windsurfing and wingfoil on the St. Lawrence, at the Baie-de-Beauport park in Québec City. It bills itself as "sailing in the city": the bay softens the effect of the tides and gives a favourable, safe stretch of water, so conditions are often good for sailing.
Private two-hour lessons, for adults, students and children aged 5 to 12, cover beginner and intermediate levels: reading wind and tides, rigging, basic stance, tacking, then harness, planing, beach start and water start in windsurfing; pumping, getting up on the foil and gybing in wingfoil. Equipment rental is reserved for people with prior experience; beginners start with an introductory lesson.
The school also offers group rates, a seasonal subscription with unlimited rentals, gift cards and branded clothing, and sells windsurf and wingfoil equipment at the end of the season. Booking is online, from two weeks to twelve hours ahead.
