Son of Kite

Son of Kite is a kitesurfing school based on the Le Morne kite lagoon, at the foot of Le Morne Brabant in south-west Mauritius. The waist-deep lagoon is well suited to first lessons.

The school is run by JC Galey, a kitesurf instructor since 2000, holder of the French professional kitesurfing diploma (BP) and a trainer of instructors. It states that it is recognised by the Mauritian tourism authority and insured.

Classes have a maximum of three students per instructor, each with their own kite, backed by a rescue jet-boat. Lessons are taught in French, English, German, Creole and Spanish. The school also offers private tuition, equipment rental and a shop.
