La Case en Falafy Kitesurf

La Case en Falafy Kitesurf is the kitesurfing school of the hotel La Case en Falafy, in the fishing village of Ramena, about 20 km from Diego Suarez in northern Madagascar. The hotel stands 70 m from a white sand beach.

Lessons are given by professional Malagasy instructors at all levels, with or without gear rental. Sessions take place in Sakalava Bay, around 20 minutes by car: a shallow lagoon with a white sand bottom where the trade wind always blows back to the beach. A free shuttle takes kiters staying at the hotel to the spot.

For intermediate and advanced riders, the school also runs trips to the Emerald Sea (downwind runs, the Nosy Antalibe "pool", waves at Suarez islet), as well as day excursions on a traditional dhow. The hotel also has a restaurant, a swimming pool and quad rental.
