Dakar Surf Atlantique is a local surf school on Plage BCEAO in Yoff, Dakar. It was founded in May 2023 by Aly Diagne, who was born and raised in Yoff, worked as an instructor in another school for seven years and is treasurer of the Senegalese Surfing Federation.
The school offers private and group surf lessons, with board and wetsuit included or with your own gear depending on the option. Lessons take place at Yoff, Virage and Almadies depending on conditions; it also rents boards and wetsuits and organises surf trips.
The place was built with sustainable materials and includes a small beach bar serving drinks and snacks. The project also aims to train young instructors and provide stable jobs for its local team.
