Nieblumer Wassersportschule (NWS Föhr)

The Nieblumer Wassersportschule (NWS) began in 1977, when Christa and Holger Hückstädt opened a windsurf school on the beach at Nieblum, on the island of Föhr: one of the first in Germany. Today it is a watersports school with a wide offer: windsurfing, catamaran sailing, kitesurfing, stand up paddling, kayaking and kite buggy.

The Nieblum spot has a large stand-up area for safe beginner lessons, good training conditions for advanced riders and safe equipment rental. The school runs the annual Föhr Cup (the 44th edition took place from 14 to 16 May 2026) and sells its own sweatshirts and T-shirts.
