Südkap Surfing Hörnum

Südkap Surfing Sylt is a VDWS-licensed watersports school in Hörnum, on the southern tip of Sylt. Its teaching base overlooks a sheltered stretch of water, free of waves and surf and independent of the tides, which suits beginners in windsurfing, stand up paddling and sailing.

The school offers windsurf lessons (taster sessions, basic courses, a bundle including the licence), wingfoil, stand up paddle, sailing and catamaran courses, including for children, as well as equipment rental. Kitesurfers move to the nearby Möwennest spot, as the bathing area is closed to kites during the season.

A webcam in Hörnum shows the action on the water. The company also runs a base in Wenningstedt, focused on wave surfing.
