Gusty Kitesurfing Skola

Gusty is a small kitesurfing school in Skåne, based at Habo Ljung beach in Lomma, north of Malmö. It is run by Gustav, an instructor since 2011, and Mats, who took the IKO instructor course on Öland in 2021. Teaching follows IKO guidelines.

Gusty takes a maximum of two students per instructor, for faster and safer progress. The one-day course (level 1) covers spot assessment, flying a trainer kite, rigging a full-size kite, hand signals and first board starts. Two- and three-day courses, private lessons and extra days complete the offer.

The school also rents complete kite equipment (kites, boards, harnesses, wetsuits) to riders who can already kitesurf, by the day, against an ID document left as a deposit. Gift cards are available.

Habo Ljung is the usual lesson spot when the wind blows from the west: shallow water over a long sandy bottom, generous rigging and launching areas, toilets, a café, a campsite and parking 200 m from the beach. Gusty also describes the nearby spots of Klagshamn and Lundåkra.
