Coquet Shorebase Trust

Coquet Shorebase Trust is a community charity in Amble on the Northumberland coast. It funds its charitable work by providing water sports opportunities and training for all, from age 8 to 80. The centre is RYA accredited.

Windsurfing and dinghy sailing take place mostly on Ladyburn Lake at Druridge Bay Country Park. The Discover Windsurfing session is aimed at beginners, on a brand-new fleet of Red Paddle Co Windsups with an RYA instructor; RYA windsurfing and sailing courses are also scheduled, including for youths, and an autumn 2026 programme is open for booking. The centre also offers stand up paddleboarding, kayaking, canoeing, guided estuary tours on the Coquet, powerboat courses and Sailability sessions.
