Salcombe Watersports

Salcombe Watersports (formerly Salcombe Paddleboarding) is a family business founded in 2016 by Marcus Nolan, a fully qualified ISA paddleboard instructor and former professional surf lifeguard. It is based at Port Waterhouse on the East Portlemouth side of the Salcombe Estuary, opposite Salcombe, in South Devon.

The centre teaches stand up paddleboarding (lessons, guided estuary tours, hire), sea kayaking and windsurfing. Windsurfing courses, offered in Salcombe Harbour since 2024, follow the RYA syllabus: Stages 1 and 2 for children, Level 1 'Start Windsurfing' for adults, almost entirely practical. A windsurfing club, described as coming soon, will let people practise with the school's kit. The centre also runs RYA powerboat courses, a kids' club and days for groups and schools.

Port Waterhouse is a ten-minute walk from the Salcombe to East Portlemouth passenger ferry. There is on-site parking and a cafe and bar.
