Escape Surf School

Escape Surf School is based in the centre of Newquay, Cornwall, on the Seaview Terrace at Belushi's, 35 Fore Street. It has been teaching surfing for more than twenty years and presents itself as a specialist school: surfing only, with no kayaking, paddleboarding or coasteering.

Lessons suit complete beginners as well as intermediate and advanced surfers: group lessons, private lessons, technical coaching, family lessons, school-holiday courses for children and surf weekends. The team is led by a former professional surfer, head coach Mike Young.

The school also sells surf-and-stay packages (hostel, lodge or bed and breakfast) and offers sessions for groups, stag and hen parties, schools and corporate events. It is open all year, seven days a week, except 25 and 26 December and 1 January. Online booking is available.
