Windhunters Kitesurfing Llandudno

Windhunters is a kitesurfing school run by Greg, an IKO-certified instructor with 17 years of experience, in Llandudno, North Wales. Lessons mostly take place at West Shore, a large sandy bay with tidal channels and flat-water lagoons that suit beginners.

Depending on the wind, lessons move to other beaches: Conwy Morfa, Colwyn Bay, Lligwy, Rhosneigr, Newborough or Black Rock Sands at Porthmadog. Lessons are one-to-one, or two-on-one for friends and couples. Kite equipment is provided; students bring their own wetsuit, gloves and boots, must be able to swim 200 m, and children are taught from 30 kg.

Progress follows the IKO pathway (lesson plans, feedback and action points, video, radio comms). The school also runs progression sessions (riding upwind, jumps, transitions, first unhooked rides), refresher sessions and gift vouchers.
