Westwind Kiel

Westwind Kiel is a water sports school active since 1999, located on the natural Falckenstein beach at the gates of Kiel, in a protected landscape area. It is a member of the Welt Wassersport Verband (WWS), whose WWS College trains SUP and surf instructors.

The programme covers windsurfing (beginner, refresher, intensive weekend courses, tasters), stand up paddling (courses and tours, private coaching for one or two people, rental and group training), wing surfing and wing foiling in one-to-one lessons with motorboat support, and e-foiling. The school also offers Optimist sailing for children aged 6 to 8, open water activities for kids, group offers (stag and hen parties, company outings) and a second-hand store in winter. The water is beautiful but fairly sporty, with waves.

You can come by bike, bus, ferry on the fjord or car; car park P3 in front of the Falckenstein campsite is free.
