Surfschule Leipzig Störmthaler See

Surfschule Leipzig is a VDWS windsurfing, wing and SUP school on the Störmthaler See near Leipzig. It is run by Uwe Bauer, owner and course instructor, and promises its students a guarantee of results.

Teaching equipment includes stable boards and 30 school sails from 2.0 to 5.0 m², plus wetsuits from XS to 3XL. The school has a calm, broad stretch of beach well placed for the prevailing winds, and a body of water of the ideal size for learning. By the end of the course students can rig their own gear, launch from the shore, sail a course and return to the start.

The basic windsurfing courses run as two four-hour sessions at weekends; VIP windsurfing courses (six hours, one or two people), wing courses (2.5 hours, levels L1 or L2) and SUP courses are booked by phone, on weekdays.

Season from June to September (the 2026 season has ended; 2027 dates will be published from mid-May). Basic windsurfing courses on Saturday and Sunday 14:00 – 18:00; other courses on weekdays between 10:00 and 19:00 by appointment.
