Everyday Mehdya

Everyday Mehdya is a surf school on the seafront at Mehdia Plage, the beach resort of Kenitra, some twelve kilometres from the city and three quarters of an hour from Rabat-Salé airport. It teaches surfing and stand-up paddle through private, children's and group lessons, and runs its courses from Monday to Friday in one, two, three or five-day formats, with morning sessions starting at 9 am. It also offers retreats combining surfing, yoga and meals, an after-school programme, equipment hire and a session photography service.

It is the best-established business on this stretch of coast. Working with the Royal Moroccan Surfing Federation, it hosted the Moroccan leg of the IBC bodyboarding world tour from 11 to 17 August 2025, the Everyday Mehdya Rising Series, won by Spain's Unax Pascual ahead of Morocco's Moumou Hamza; the stop was carried over to the 2026 IBC calendar. Bodyboarding holds a real place in the school's offer, with a dedicated course format.

The same address holds the only Rip Curl counter in northern Morocco: Everyday Mehdya appears as an authorised dealer on the brand's official list, which shows no company-owned store anywhere between Rabat and Tangier. Shop and school share one building, by the beach, a few steps from the Mehdia beach break — the historic cradle of Moroccan surfing, where American servicemen stationed at Kenitra brought in the first boards in the early 1960s.

The official Rip Curl Morocco dealer list gives the counter as open every day from 9 am to 8 pm.

Courses run Monday to Friday, in five-day (Monday to Friday), three-day (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday), two-day (Thursday and Friday) or single-day formats. Morning sessions start at 9 am. The school runs winter, spring, summer and autumn course versions, with no seasonal closure announced.
