School Presentation
Robins Surfcenter is a windsurfing, wingfoiling and stand up paddling school in Hüde on the shore of the Dümmer See in Lower Saxony. Founded in 2007, it aims to make water sports accessible to everyone. The lake is very shallow (standing depth throughout) and surrounded by windy flatland, which suits beginners and experienced windsurfers alike.
Lessons follow VDWS guidelines and the school is VDWS and QAW certified. The beginner windsurfing course is ten hours (four sessions of two and a half hours, at most ten students per instructor) and runs every weekend, plus Monday to Thursday during school holidays. A first taster session is possible. Foiling (wing foil and windsurf foil) is taught with an introduction, and the wingfoil licence exam can be taken here.
A Duotone test centre, the school rents windsurf, SUP and wingfoil equipment for all levels. Its shop sells boards, sails, wetsuits, harnesses and accessories. The site also has an on-site campsite, a guesthouse (Surf and Chords) and team events such as raft building and SUP polo.
