School Presentation
Surfers Paradise is a water sports school and centre in Mardorf on the Steinhuder Meer, near Hanover. Founded in 1998, it describes itself as the world's first VDWS-certified kitesurfing school. The Steinhuder Meer centre combines a school, a shop, a bistro and a guesthouse.
Students learn kitesurfing, windsurfing, wingfoiling, SUP, pump foiling and e-foiling, as well as sailing (catamaran and keelboat courses), with instructors teaching in German, English, French and Spanish. Equipment (board, kite or sail, wetsuit, helmet, harness) is included in the courses. The school also offers private lessons, refresher courses, camps with on-site accommodation and school or group trips.
The centre also rents out gear without lessons, as well as SUPs, boats, canoes, kayaks and bikes. The same team runs other centres in Laboe on the Kiel Fjord and in Denmark.
