Oualidia Surf Camp

Oualidia Surf Camp is a watersports school with its own accommodation, a few steps from the Oualidia lagoon and the Atlantic waves. It is the only business on the whole Doukkala coast, from Safi to El Jadida, that advertises kitesurf lessons: it points to the lagoon's flat, shallow water and steady winds as the ideal ground to start and then progress safely.

Kitesurf sessions last 1 h 30 to 2 h and are matched to each rider's level: wind theory, kite control, drills on the beach and then in shallow water, with radio helmets and equipment provided. The school also teaches surfing in small groups (1 h 30, board and wetsuit included) and runs stand up paddle outings on the lagoon, guided or self-guided. Instructors are described as certified, but no awarding body is named. The team around Zakaria, founder and coach, together with Mohamed and Amine, speaks English, French and Moroccan Arabic.

The camp houses its students on site, in a twin, deluxe double or sea view room, and serves home-cooked Moroccan food at every meal. Packages of five to seven nights combine lessons, accommodation, full board and a visit to the souk; sunset yoga, kayaking, horse riding and local excursions are available on request. The same operator also trades as Oualidia Surf Morocco, Oualidia Vibes and Chakib Surf: it is one single business.

Open seven days a week, 8 am to 10 pm.

No opening season is published: the school announces neither closing months nor a recommended period. Booking is by WhatsApp, email or the website form.
