ProBoarding Rügen

ProBoarding is a water sports school and shop in Thiessow on the Mönchgut peninsula, in the south-east of Rügen island. It is run by Haiko Milke.

The Thiessow station, on the Klein Zicker side, is a place to learn kitesurfing and wingfoiling in shallow water, best in south to west winds. The school also teaches windsurfing and stand up paddle. Kitesurf lessons are given by VDWS-licensed instructors with at most four participants per instructor.

It offers group and private lessons, camps, equipment rental, paddle tours, school and company trips and a fitness programme (pilates, yoga, running). The shop sells gear from Core, Eleveight, Duotone, ION and Fanatic, plus Sven Anton custom boards.

2026 season: 26 April to 18 October. In April and October, lessons and radio-helmet training on request.
