Wingfoil Ameland

Wingfoil Ameland is a wingfoil school run by Jules and Tess on the island of Ameland in the Netherlands. Jules, an instructor who wingfoils at a high level himself, handles the technical side; Tess looks after beginners and also offers yoga and meditation.

Lessons start on the beach, where you learn to control the wing, then move around with it on a mountainboard and on the water in wing surfing before stepping up to the foil. Introduction lessons take place at Ameland Adventure; water lessons are on the Wadden Sea side, where the water is calm and flat for beginners. More experienced riders can head to the North Sea.

Groups have a maximum of four people, two per wing set, and equipment and wetsuit are included. The school also offers packages with accommodation, equipment rental and a shop. The team speaks Dutch, English, German, Spanish and French.
