School Presentation
Avalon Surf Camp is a surf school on 12th Street Beach in Avalon, in southern New Jersey. It offers a summer camp, private lessons and group lessons, with boards, wetsuits and all equipment provided.
The camp runs Monday to Friday, 9 to 11 am, from June 23 to August 22, 2026, for children aged 7 and up who are comfortable in the water. Campers get a colored jersey according to their level, and instruction is adapted to everyone. Private lessons, open from age 5, are given one-on-one or for two surfers, from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
Group lessons suit birthday parties, family outings or friends, with at most three students per instructor and up to twenty people at a time. The school also stresses ocean awareness: rip currents, undertows and other hazards.
