Why Knot Kiting

Why Knot Kiting is a small kiteboarding school based in Kailua, on the windward side of Oahu. Lessons are taught by an IKO Level 2 instructor who reports more than 1,100 hours of teaching.

The approach is built on safety and a clear progression: while you ride, the instructor coaches you live through Bluetooth helmet headsets. Lessons suit every level, from a first session (board starts, riding upwind) to jumps, kite loops and more technical tricks.

Sessions take place at the school's favourite Oahu locations: Lanikai beach in Kailua (beginner to advanced), Mokuleia and Hawaii Kai. The school is an authorized Eleveight dealer, uses that gear in lessons and can advise on buying equipment afterwards. The website also mentions rentals and repairs.
