Hans Hedemann Surf School Waikiki

Hans Hedemann Surf School is a family-owned surf school in Waikiki, on the island of Oahu, Hawaii, which has been teaching for over 30 years. It was founded by former pro surfer Hans Hedemann and was recognized by TripAdvisor in 2025 as one of Honolulu's top surf schools.

The meeting point is the school's shop inside the Queen Kapiolani Hotel, at 150 Kapahulu Avenue, next to the Honolulu Zoo. Equipment (board, reef shoes, rash guard) and safety instruction are included. The school guarantees that students will ride waves during their lesson. Kids and families can book lessons suited to them.

The offer includes group, private, sunset and multi-day lessons, paddle and bodyboard lessons, photo packages and board rentals. The school also operates on the North Shore, in Haleiwa.
