School Presentation
Flamingo Wing Foil Center is a VDWS-licensed wing foil school that has operated on Langebaan Lagoon since 2020, about an hour north of Cape Town, at 1 Cloete Street (Flamingo Beach House). Since summer 2023/24 it has worked in partnership with the Windtown Lagoon Hotel.
VDWS instructors teach private and group wing foil lessons, multi-day camps (the Flamingo Wingfoil Camp and a Pro Camp with video analysis), refresher sessions, towed foiling and SUP. Downwinders are offered to advanced wingfoilers, from Shark Bay or the main beach to Club Mykonos, with safety equipment and a shuttle. An e-foil is also available for days without wind.
The centre rents full sets or individual items (wing, board, foil); the website mentions Duotone, ENSIS, Sabfoil and Zeal. The team speaks German, Afrikaans, Italian and Spanish. Changing rooms, showers and a chill area are included with lessons.
