Foum El Oued Surf club

A water-sports club set directly on Foum El Oued beach, some twenty kilometres south of Laâyoune. It gives surf lessons on site, run by coach Mounir.

Foum El Oued beach runs for eleven kilometres and has held the Blue Flag for seventeen years. It is a steady beachbreak sitting in the Canaries' swell shadow, needing a south-west or north direction to work, and it suits beginners well. The wind is consistent enough that the Royal Moroccan Sailing Federation held the Moroccan kitesurf championship here in November 2025.

The club has no website: its Instagram account and its Google Business listing are the only ways to reach it. Surf is the only discipline it announces.
