Surf Island is a watersports club in western Crete with two stations; this one is the Kalamaki beach station, about 5 km from Chania, called "Chania Surf Club" on the website. It complements the main Falasarna station: when western winds make Falasarna less favourable, Kalamaki offers protected flat water for windsurfing and wingfoiling.
The website describes a shallow sandy beach, gentle waves suited to learning to surf, SUP outings and activities for families and groups. Lessons (windsurf, wingfoil, surf, SUP) are adapted to your level, the day's weather and the spot with the best learning conditions.
The windsurf equipment is stated as GA Sails rigs and Tabou boards. The club was founded by Konstantinos Kostopoulos and also offers wind holidays and surf trips around western Crete.
