South Coast Surf School

South Coast Surf School is a surf school based on Poetto beach in Cagliari, at the “Le Palmette” kiosk near the first bus stop. It says it operates all year round and offers surf and stand up paddle lessons for children and adults, beginners and advanced riders, as well as guided surf trips across the island.

Surf lessons start with a theory and practice session on the beach (basic moves, safety rules) before entering the water with the instructors. A summer course (June to September) is reserved for children aged 4 to 11, in shallow water, with shorty wetsuits. An advanced level includes video analysis.

SUP is available as lessons or as a one-and-a-half-hour excursion along Poetto to the rocks of the Sella del Diavolo. The kiosk rents SUP boards. The school also offers a repair service for surfboards, SUP and kiteboards (epoxy or polyester) and photo shoots on request.

Instructors Michelangelo Rombi and Diego Cadeddu are presented as federal instructors recognised by the International Surfing Association, each with around 25 years of surfing.
