Windsurfing Club Cagliari

Windsurfing Club Cagliari (WCC) presents itself as the first windsurfing club in Sardinia and Italy. It is located on Viale Marina Piccola, at the start of Poetto beach in Cagliari, and is affiliated with the Italian Sailing Federation (FIV).

The club organises regattas and national events (Coppa Italia iQFoil and Techno 293, Coppa Italia Wingfoil in June 2024, the Sardinian Hobie Cat 16 championship in October 2026) and trains racers in windsurfing, foiling and multihulls, including Olympic champion Marta Maggetti, who started windsurfing there in 2008. Its competition team regularly achieves national and European results.

The club runs a sailing school (windsurf, catamaran, dinghy): the FIV ranked it the best sailing school in Italy, with about 600 students in the year concerned. Membership and licences are handled through the secretariat; according to its website the club is open every day from 9 am to 8 pm in peak season.
