WindBusters Kite School

WindBusters is a kitesurf and wing foil school founded by Giovanni Macaluso, a certified instructor. For years an itinerant school, it now has a fixed base on the Lo Stagnone lagoon in Marsala, at Contrada Spagnola, at the southern start of the lagoon: the school says the water there is slightly deeper for foiling, yet always flat, with fewer riders than in the area where the other schools are grouped.

All lessons are one-to-one (one instructor per student), taught by professional instructors who speak Italian, English, Spanish and French and are all trained in first aid. The offer runs from a 1.5-hour taster to the 6-hour basic course, an intermediate course and advanced courses (freestyle, strapless surfboard), plus wing foil lessons, free sessions, local experiences, and kite spots across western Sicily when the wind is not suitable. A support boat helps riders get back upwind, and Slingshot equipment is renewed every year.

The venue also includes the Eolo Club, a bar-pub that welcomes students between sessions.
