School Presentation
Escuela Marejada is a surf school and surf camp active since 2003 on La Espasa beach (Colunga and Caravia), in eastern Asturias between Gijón and Llanes. It is run by Ricardo Fernández Palomeque, a multiple Spanish surf champion and former national longboard coach, with more than twenty years of teaching. The website also advertises a surf camp in Senegal.
The offer includes one-day, weekend or week-long surf courses by level and age (children, adults), a surf camp with accommodation, summer camps for minors (2026 programme published), paddle surf courses and tours, yoga and paddle yoga, and surf and paddle rental. The school states it holds civil liability and accident insurance and the municipal activity licence.
